Great place from which to explore the area August 19, 2015 Maria Hall “We stayed here with 6 people, and the house was more than big enough to accommodate us. The kitchen is huge and well stocked, and there are plenty of places to sit and relax, both inside and out. The location is perfect for exploring the many vineyards and tasting rooms in the Newberg/Dundee area, starting with the VX tasting room next door! Overall we had a great time here, and we would happily stay here again the next time we want to do some wine tasting in Oregon!” — Rogier
Highly Recommended December 31, 2012 Maria Hall “This was our second stay, and it was just as great as the first. The house is very comfortable and well-appointed, the property is quite nice (with friendly horses!), and the kitchen and dining room in particular are well-suited for the culinarily-inclined. It is a bit of a drive to the bulk of the tasting rooms, but with a little planning this isn’t a major issue. Especially when you factor in the price, this is a fantastic property and we will be returning as long as they let us!” — Ben from Portland, OR
Great Retreat August 6, 2012 Maria Hall “Felt like we had our own hideaway. The house is sprawling, but it is not new, so don’t expect perfection. That said, it was great to light a fire, sit down with some of the old books found throughout the house, and watch the kids play chess. The property manager was kind enough to open the tasting room one evening for a private sampling of wines. Chocolate covered hazelnuts from the farm was a favorite. We used this as a home-base to explore Portland and the coast, but there were also some good restaurants nearby in Newberg. Enjoyed the house and the setting very much.” — Scott from Iowa
Very Beautiful and Private Location July 19, 2012 Maria Hall “Farmhouse provided everything we were looking for. Pluses include the decks outside, wonderful hosts (including the folks at the tasting room across the driveway), privacy and large accommodations. I’d give the property an excellent rating excepting that the property is a little dated and has non-traditional spaces. Perfect for a small wedding.... Very clean and well maintained. Ultra comfy king sized master bed, efficient air conditioner and cooling fans, copious amounts of kitchen space and supplies (great cook your own meals house), barbecue, and a lovely treat from the owners...Great for local wine tasting with a group.” — Glamgrrl, Seattle, WA
What a beautiful setting! June 30, 2011 Maria Hall “We were a party of 8, all cyclists and geared up for a week of riding in the valley, visiting winery’s and enjoying our evenings cooking, eating and relaxing with some great wine. There were 3 couples and two singles, so the bedroom arrangement was perfect. We wondered if being limited to 2 bathrooms would be a problem, but since each bathroom was accessed from the hallways, we never had a conflict of any kind. It did take it while for the hot water to reach the upstairs bathroom, but we adjusted quickly to that. The kitchen was fantastic...we all love to cook, and we often had 4 or 5 of us in the kitchen preparing, cooking and setting the table, cleaning up. The house had absolutely everything you need to cook almost anything, and plenty of seasonings, etc. Just bring your main ingredients! The hot tub was great and there are many trails to walk on to get to the river. The only thing we noticed was that the house could use a little maintenence, and the windows are due for a cleaning...but it has been a terrible spring so I think they just haven’t had a chance to get to them yet. Otherwise....it is perfect!” — D from Anacortes, WA
